This is one of our featured post for the month...Previously there is an write up by one of our blogger (Yenky): Restoran Amboi. Is my time to write something about it as this is my first visit to here...Oh ya, the owner/the cook known as Kenny. Well, this is family run business and the crowd was promising although there are some nearby Nyonya restaurant around like Restaurant Ole Sayang, Restoran Nyonya Makko and Seri Nyonya @ Equatorial Hotel.

Fine...back to Restoran Amboi...The food is really authentic and the ingredients are fresh.

A bowl of white rice

Eggplant Chilli Garam
The flavor & fragrance of this dish tempts me...It is a bit spicy.

Asam Prawn
The asam flavor did not absorbed into the prawn but this is a great dish to try out... Hope they can improve on the asam prawn taste.

Cincalok Ommelette
Cincalok are made of fermented small shrimps...Eggs are mixed with cincalok, vegetable & onion. Yummy!!

Asam Fish Head
The fish head are so fresh and the asam gravy are appetizing.

Ikan Tempra

Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Panas Panas!
Gerai Makanan 1,
Wang Food Court,
Jalan Tun Sri Lanang,
75100 Malacca.

Specialty is the ayam goreng rempah (marinated herbs fried chicken). Unfortunately, I reached there late and their specialty had been sold out. So no choice to try other dishes.

Several types of dishes they have other than their specialty

Sardine + Egg + Anchovies + Rice = RM4.00

Squid + Stingray + Anchovies = RM4.50

Chicken + Vegetables + Anchovies = RM3.00

Overall, I quite like it although their ayam goreng rempah is sold out.

Hing Loong Taiwan Mee @ Jalan Gajah Berang, Malacca

Hing Loong Taiwan Mee
Jalan Gajah Berang,
75200 Malacca.

Introduced by Yu Lian but bring me here is Chong Lim. Being told that this place sells Taiwanese noodles which quite tasty. So here we are again. We are here about 12pm and is crowded. Remember to order yourself or else you have to wait till you get even hungrier.

Kitchen area - The cook and the helper

This uncle prepares the noodle

This guy is frying the pork chop

Taiwan Mee with Pork Chop
Overall is kind of like tasteless so I mixed it with the sambal but still the same as the sambal also tasteless. The best thing is the pork chop. Fried to perfection but the pork portion quite little.

Taiwan Mee with Mince Chicken
The noodle same as above. The mince chicken just normal and nothing special.

Wok & Pan Menu

Almond Nut Fish Fillet serve with Jacket Potato and Salad - RM9.50
The fish is dory fish and is cooked to perfection. I like the almond nut dressing which goes well with the fish

Grilled Herbs &  Honey Pork Rib - RM28.00
The meat is soft and the herb fragrance makes it smells aromatic. Remember to go with the sauce which is perfect combination.

Ice Green Tea & Teh Tarik - RM3.00 & RM2.50
This is not their specialty. Remember to order their ice blended fruit juice. We were unlucky as their blending machine is down.
