Tou Tou @ Sri Petaling

Tou Tou Little Kitchen
No.67, Jalan Radin Bagus
Zone J5, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling
Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia

Introducing to you concept style noodle house which found newly open in Sri Petaling. Its located along the shop lot where Old Town White Coffee Sri Petaling is so just drive along the stretch and you will not miss it.

At first, me though that the shop was related to the famous "Tou Tou" in travel and food programs at first sight. The shop only serve noodles and you can choose between their homemade noodles or ordinary mee hoon/keow teow. Besides, there are 5 types of noodle servings which includes dry, soup, curry, smooth soup, and special.

The lighting inside the restaurant is rather dim and simple design concept being used giving customer some rural atmosphere tasting traditional noodles

Pork Belly Little Noodle [RM6.80]
- according to the waiter, the noodle is homemade and the braised pork belly is chef's special recipe -

Braised Chicken Feet Little Noodle [RM6.80]
- the braised chicken fee rather tough so not that nice -

Pork Ball Keow Teow in Smooth Soup [RM5.80]
- the smooth soup is rather ordinary -

Prawn Ball Little Noodle in Smooth Soup [RM7.80]
- The prawn ball taste better than the pork ball, I feel -

Overall, don't find the place attractive even though we tried most of their specialty so only rated as follows.

Old Klang Road,
Kuala Lumpur.

After lunch on Friday, we come across this stall just by the road side. We stop by to try out their durian. I asked for Musang King (a type of durain breed) but Stephanie reject it because she tried the fake Musang King bought by her parents. Anyway, I insist that want to have Musang King. When Anwar opens the durian, Stephanie got shock to see the color of the durian and she tasted the Musang King. She got amazed and really loved it.

As heard from Anwar, the durian are from Yong Peng, Johor. Some of my colleagues got his contact for future purchase.

Yellowish Musang King with small seed and taste a bit bitter and creamy.

This durian cost me RM50.00 (only 1 durian weighed 2.6kg). It cost RM20.00 per kilo.

Thong's Recipe is located within Zenith Corporate Park whereby a new residential cum business centre developed by South Malaysia Industries Berhad. The restaurant is visible as you drive along the road to/from Kelana Square as it is the second shop beside a bistro, Al-Safa.

Besides dinning in and take away, Thong also provide catering upon arrangement, breakfast and lunch set cater to multiple level of customer needs at reasonable price. Thong only begin operating somewhere in April 2011 and due to the Zenith park yet to be fully occupied as many shop lots remain vacant and Zenith Condominium is still under construction thus the customer flow is quite slow.

Simple warm theme design maximizing the size of the shop give you spacious environment to dine-in.

Soup With Salted Vege
- simple vegetable soup with strong ginger taste -

Marmite Chicken (Recommended)
- nice sweet honey flavor wrapping all over fried chicken that is crispy outside tender within -

Stir Fried Seasonal Vegetable (Surprisingly Great)
- guess is a simple ordinary stir fried but easiest dishes may just be the best, the vegetable is nicely mix with garlic and seasoning stir fried with fragrance smokey zest -

Mah Poh Tofu (Nice)
- actually the set suppose to be Pumpkin Tofu but we prefer tofu in Mah Poh style thus request for the change, Thank you for the amendments -

Nyonya Fish (Great Taste)
- the light spiciness and sourness in the sauce brings the freshness in the fish and makes it more appetizing -

The whole meal comprise of four (4) dishes with one (1) soup is only cost RM49.90 ++ which I feel really value for money as the portion of the fish is satisfying and all dishes is just great with chef's preference.

Overall, marrying the price, taste and portion of all the dishes for four person was just right and reasonable. It would be better if the soup is simple peanut chicken or ABC soup.
