Adopting vegetarian cuisines in our daily meal may due to several reason such as ethical consensus, health, religious, political, environmental, cultural, aesthetic, and even economic. For many Chinese religious practices, group of peoples will normally consume vegetarian exclusion of meats on the 1st and 15th of every month. To cater such demand of customers, many vegetarian and organic restaurants and cafe had been emerge from time to time.

For the goodness of all readers of this post would like to further highlight the different groups of vegetarian customers that commonly we are aware:
  • Ovo vegetarianism - includes eggs but not dairy products.
  • Lacto vegetarianism - includes dairy products but not eggs.
  • Lacto-Ovo vegetarianism - includes animal/dairy products such as eggs, milk, and honey.
  • Raw veganism - includes only fresh and uncooked fruit, nuts, seeds, and vegetables. Vegetables can only be cooked up to a certain temperature.
  • Fruitarianism - permits only fruit, nuts, seeds, and other plant matter that can be gathered without harming the plant.
  • Buddhist vegetarianism (also known as su vegetarianism) - excludes all animal products as well as vegetables in the allium family (which have the characteristic aroma of onion and garlic): onion, garlic, scallions, leeks, or shallots.

As commonly practice during 1st of Chinese calender visited Kuan Yin Vegetarian Restaurant for dinner and realise its crowded and customers are waiting outside the restaurant for vacant tables.

When I was travelling towards Kuantan via Karak Highway, came across Temerloh rest stop for some toilet break and brunch before continuing our journey. It was recommended by couple of colleagues about the place decided to try it since coming across the place.

Temerloh rest stop is pretty well developed whereby many stalls selling simple halal foods catering travellers like me.

Nasi lemak is common food for Malay race but the culture had been greatly adopted across all races in Malaysia. We have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner even supper sometimes thou it contain high calories but enjoy it always. Looking simple dish but is hard to master because the rice and the sambal must be balance and it compliments each another.

Anchovies Sambal (Great)
- unlike many I tasted in Klang Valley, this is something belong to the East Cost continent flavour and style -

Finally I get my chance to try out one of the famous pork deli restaurant in Klang Valley. Ever since its been renovated, the crowd just get even packed especially on weekends. Besides operating restaurants, the management expanded their business to frozen meat distribution to hypermarket such as Cold Storage, Jusco, Giant and Carefour.

According to my friend, previously Euro Deli operates only in one shop lot which you can see not its been extended.

Within the restaurant, you can purchase their products such as breads, jams, cookies and seasonings. Definitely feel like getting their breads after I taste it as complimentary by Euro Deli.

Apart from above mentioned, you can also purchase their frozen products such as sausages, hams and processed meats.

After new look, Euro Deli also added new beverages selections such as imported draft beers like Hoegaarden, Leffe Blonde and Franziskaner.

Warm cozy dinning experience that you cannot miss...!!!

According to the management, reservation tables will be on the left side while walk in customers will be place on the other area. This is to cater group of customers especially in large numbers to dine in upon reservations thus without disappointing yourselves and others, do make reservation prior your visit if possible.

Although serving complimentary bread is ordinary but you will be surprise that the bread feel warm on your palms and taste soft into your mouth is like a fresh bake bread just out from the oven as butter melts between it.

Sausage platter (Highly Recommended)
- Upon recommendation by the waiter else you can choose yourselves from a whole list of sausages -

BBQ Schweine Rippen (BBQ Pork Ribs) [Highly Recommended]
- Specially marinated pork ribs with bbq sauce, french fries and red cabbage -

Gemischte Roast Platte (Sensational)
- Mix roast of knuckles, ribs and belly with mushrooms sauce, mashed potatoes and red cabbage -

The servings are quire huge although the slightly pricy as all ingredients used is quite fresh. Conclusion, what a sinful dinning experience but wonderful dishes and friendly waiters.
