Pontian Noodles @ SS15, Subang Jaya

Pontian Noodle
No.45, Jalan SS15/4,
Subang Jaya,
47500 Subang Jaya,
Selangor, Malaysia

Tel: +603 - 5631 1044

Wondering what's for breakfast in SS15 on weekends, try Pontian where they serves wantan noodles, laksa and some desserts. Quite limited choice but you can choose between black sauce, chilli + black sauce or tomato sauce to go with the wantan noodle.

Due to emergence of specialist franchise restaurant changing ordinary noodles into demanding delights include pan mee, fish head noodle and now wantan mee. They have open several brunch including SS2 and Wangsa Maju. We used to have wanton noodles in food court but now we can enjoy it in franchise chains.

Such location will not be so packed thus suitable for families to hang around.

You can choose to sit in or out depending your preference.

Sesame Cream - RM3.00

Green bean soup - RM2.00

Laksa - RM5.00

Wanton Noodle - RM4.50
(Nice)
- wanton noodle in black sauce with fried wanton and bbq pork slice, personally i prefer with additional chilli with the black sauce -

Dumpling Wanton Noodle - RM5.50
Overall, serving simple wanton noodle and laksa with their homemade noodles but the meat inside the wanton is not really appetizing because is frozen minced meat.

Passed by for few times but everytime is quite empty. So finally, we step into this restaurant and tried their speciality which is GRILL...They use charcoal to grill the meat but I unable to taste the charcoal taste at all...

Chicken Chop (RM11.90)
It uses drumstick part which is makes the meat tastier

Lamb Chop (RM14.90)
This is cheap where you get 2 pieces of lamb shoulder and you wouldn't able to taste the "lamby odour" even without mint sauce

Ngau Yuk Hor / Beef Noodle (RM7.90)

Garlic Bread (RM2.50)

Lime Juice (RM1.00) (add-on)

Mushroom Soup (RM2.50) (add-on)

Restaurant Windmill is not new to many bloggers and foodies as well as Food 2 Buzz as it had been posted by Sidney earlier in June 2010 and July 2010. Without much introduction of the restaurant let me just briefly my view, Windmill its been a hot spot me and my family to have our celebration dinner ever since we shifted to Subang Jaya when I was only 7 years old.

Windmill serve varieties of classic steaks, seafoods, lambs, poetry, soups, salads and etc. which highly value in the past before the emergence of modern western cuisine and restaurants. As far as I remember, they have not change much of their items in the menu preserving what is the best from the past as well as the interior design. Cozy, comfy and nicely equip with woody tables and chairs just brings back so much memories of me, family and friends dine-in together.

Windmill used to be over crowed with customers as being expanded into 3 shop lots before its being retain back into 2 due to competitiveness yet still one of my best choice for western steak cuisine as the memories of these restaurant is beyond others could offer.

Looking for claypot chicken rice...There is one at Damansara Jaya which I will write in this post...You need to order the food at the counter while the drink is order at your table...It is quite expensive!!!

The menu (variety of choices)

Claypot Chicken Rice with Chinese Sausages and Salted Fish
The portion is quite generous...However, the taste is just so-so...I don't quite like it...There should be better one around Klang Valley...

Chinese Dry Cabbage with Pork Rib (RM5.00)
The soup is full of flavor and I like it...If the soup is hot enough, it would be better
