Being told by a local during my visit at Jonker Street..She claimed that their sambal belacan is PERFECT...Besides, I did also do some research that the food there is great and also award winning cuisine....I am just wondering whether how good it can be and here I am to try out...
Some of the awards...but is slight outdated!!!
The environment is exactly baba nyonya feel...I like it!!!
Appetizer (Assorted Kuaci)
Complimentary Otak-Otak
Nothing better than Muar otak-otak....the fish paste not solid enough...
Ikan Gerang Asam (RM22.80)
The fish is not fresh...besides, the lady fingers is too old...
Udang Assam (medium) (RM35.80)
This is nice...but my grandma cook this much better..the assam taste not "kow" enough
Chap Chai (medium) (RM16.80)
A bit too pricey for a normal chap chai...the glass noodle portion a bit too much...
Telur Cincaluk (medium) (RM9.80)
The cincaluk is not visible and tastable...FAIL!!!
Sambal Belachan (RM3.80)
This is great...perfectly grinded...Bravo!!!
Lin Chee Kang (RM6.00)
Too sweet and more to longan soup...
Cincau Assam Boi & Cincau Susu (RM6.00 each)
Assam boi - too sour...mayb that is the taste
Cincau susu - cincau taste only...where is the susu??
